Voltaic Minerals Corp (CVE:VLT) has ended its agreement with Lithium Selective Technologies Inc (LiST) concerning developing a lithium extraction process for non-conventional brines.

It has decided to progress its alternative testing already under way with Whittier Filtration, a division of Veolia Water, where results on additional process runs are expected shortly.

The agreement with LiST was announced in April and initial work was on an interim basis to obtain sufficient technical data for a definitive production and use agreement.

Under the terms of the agreement, Voltaic has now received a 10% ownership stake in Lithium Selective Technologies, having decided not to finance the next stage of development.

Voltaic also said that with effect from December 5, Thomas Currin has resigned as director to pursue other interests.
